Many people go through endless wasteland experiences without any apparent changes. They have resigned themselves to depressive moods, diffuse fears, blockages, fears of commitment and an inner rigidity, without ever finding the cause or truly coming to know the delivering power of the cross.

It is very likely that they are the children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren of the war generation and to this day still bear the guilt and traumatic experiences of that generation. Their common characteristic is silence.
