What is
the Veil
of Silence?
Many people go through endless wasteland experiences without any apparent changes. They have resigned themselves to depressive moods, diffuse fears, blockages, fears of commitment and an inner rigidity, without ever finding the cause or truly coming to know the delivering power of the cross.
It is very likely that they are the children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren of the war generation and to this day still carry the guilt and traumatic experiences of that generation. Their common characteristic is silence.
A war leaves traces in the soul – even in people who did not experience it. This is because psychological wounds can be inherited. Later in life, the risk increases that an early trauma will rise to the surface of the soul again.
We have shared our experiences with thousands of listeners in numerous Veil of Silence seminars for more than 10 years. We gave numerous lectures together with psychotherapists and experienced counselors, which have become important resources for many.
The basis was Jobst Bittner’s book on “The Veil of Silence”, published in 2011, which was a bestseller for years and has since been published in more than 10 languages.
