Jobst Bittner

Is a theologian M.A. and the author of the book “Breaking the Veil of Silence”. Together with his wife Charlotte, he has established the Evangelical Free Church TOS Ministries. They are the founders of the March of Life Movement.

They carry the burdens of their ancestors, who have passed on their repressed memories, concealed guilt, or even the traumas they suffered, to their children. Once this silence is broken, it unleashes profound change.”

Claudia Kötzer

Claudia Kötzer is a social worker and part of the pastoral team of the TOS congregation in Tübingen. Claudia is responsible for pastoral care and pastoral care training as well as for the healing room of the TOS congregation.

Michaela Buckel

Michaela is a cultural anthropologist with a focus on an active culture of remembrance and has been working full-time at March of Life since 2016.

Dr. Carolin Klein  

As a psychotherapist and trained trauma therapist, Carolin has worked extensively with the consequences of traumatization in subsequent generations. 

“Dealing with one’s own identity and family history can contribute to personal healing. I experienced this when I travelled to sites of former atrocities in Poland in 2018, in which my ancestors were involved during World War II. Through repentance and encounters with Holocaust survivors and their families, my own heart softened. And in a time of increasing brutalisation and antisemitism, that is exactly what we need.” 

Dr. Florian Kubsch

Florian ist Gymnasiallehrer und referiert zum Thema Erziehung im Nationalsozialismus. Außerdem unterstützt er bei der Erforschung und Aufarbeitung der persönlichen Familiengeschichte.

 „Die Aufarbeitung meiner Familiengeschichte hat mich dazu veranlasst, eigene Hartherzigkeit und Vorurteile gegenüber Juden und Osteuropäern zu konfrontieren und zu überwinden. Nur die Wahrheit macht frei.“

Hannah Kubsch

Hannah hat Theologie und im Beifach Jüdische Studien studiert. Sie arbeitet seit 2019 hauptamtlich bei der TOS Gemeinde Tübingen e.V. und ist für den TOS Verlag verantwortlich.

„Durch die Seminare zum Thema die Decke des Schweigens wurde mir selbst stark gedient. Als Enkelin der Kriegsgeneration habe ich durch Aufarbeitung und Buße die überschwängliche Gnade Jesu, Versöhnung, Heilung und Wiederherstellung meiner Persönlichkeit in einer tiefen Dimension erlebt. Es ist für mich ein Schlüssel wie Gott persönliche Erweckung und Heilung ganzer Nationen geben kann.“

Rahel Kalb 

Rahel is a psychological psychotherapist, supervisor, freelance lecturer and pastoral counselor for many years, whereby she dealt in detail with the influence of the occult roots of National Socialism as part of the Breaking the Veil of Silence seminar and gives talks about it.  

“By coming to terms with my family history I experienced an inner brokenness about my family’s history of guilt. The indifferent attitude towards the Jewish people disappeared and I experienced healing from the influence of the war traumas carried over of my ancestors.” 

Anastasia Antipova

Anastasia studied German, history and literature in the Ukraine. Today she works as a nursing educator and coordinates the spread of the Breaking the Veil of Silence message in the Ukraine and in Russian-speaking countries. In 2020, she translated Jobst Bittner’s book “Breaking the Veil of Silence” into Russian.

“I realized that the message about the Veil of Silence doesn’t just affect Germans, but people of all nationalities and backgrounds. I was able to repent of the Eastern European victim mentality and see the antisemitic and communist bloodshed in my  own family and in my country, recognize the consequences in the form of hardness and neglect in my own heart and ask God for forgiveness. It was the beginning of a restoration story for me personally, in my family and I am sure in my nation as well.”

Dr. Kasia Martinovic

Kasia Martinovic holds a PhD in Jewish Studies and an MA in Jewish Museology from the University of Heidelberg. Her dissertation dealt with Zionist Jewish youth in Poland in the interwar period prior to their emigration to the Land of Israel. She also studied in London, Jerusalem, Vienna and Wrocław. Today she works as a teacher and coordinates the activities of the “March of Life” movement in Poland.

“I was born in the town of Oświęcim in southern Poland. The place is known for the infamous Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. I grew up with great hatred for the Germans.

Thanks to the March of Life movement, I was able to forgive them completely. However, God showed me how much hatred and bitterness there was in my heart for which I could repent. At the same time, I understood how dangerous a victim mentality is. I realized how much antisemitism was still lurking beneath the Veil of Silence in my family and also in my Polish nation, for which I was able to ask God for forgiveness. I believe that the message about the “Veil of Silence” is a key to healing and renewal, and I dream that as many people as possible can have this experience.”

Ralf Steinmetz

Ps  Ralf Steinmetz is part of the March of Life Team.

From 2001 to 2021, he served the Lord full-time with TOS Ministries International, where he, his wife Elke and a team were primarily responsible for establishing and leading a successful ministry with street children and marginalized groups in Paraguay.

Since 2021, he has served full-time with March of Life, where he is Vice Director of the Movement for Latin America, responsible for the Spanish-speaking region.

“The message of Breaking the Veil of Silence changed my life greatly and was the key to being able to work through my personal family history, which was not spoken about, with truth and repentance. At a time when nations are rocked by crisis, violence, hatred and antisemitism, these seminars are the key to people experiencing personal revival and healing, and they can be pivotal in bringing about the transformation nations long for.”

Ruth Karrer

Ruth Karrer is the director of March of Life Paraguay in addition to her responsibilities for the work among street children for TOS Ministries International.

“The message of the Veil of Silence has given me personally a completely new perspective on my country and family and has led me into a brokenness about inherited attitudes of National Socialism. In Paraguay, Jobst Bittner’s seminars on the Veil of Silence opened the eyes of many participants from all over the country and completely changed their lives and even their churches, as they were able to recognize the pillars of bloodguilt, idolatry and antisemitism in their families, and experience liberation.

At the same time, the political situation has changed so much that Paraguay is one of Israel’s closest friends now.
